DIAHANN W. LASSUS PROFILED AS "A WOMAN FOR ALL SEASONS"
Diahann W. Lassus, CPA, CFP® practitioner, and President of Lassus Wherley & Associates, P.C. was profiled as the cover story, in a supplement to the October 2003 issue of Accounting Today, Accounting Technology and Practical Accountant. The article titled “A Woman for All Seasons” discusses Women Owned Businesses. It states that firms owned by women are growing twice as fast as all businesses. There are 10.1 million businesses in which a woman owns 50 percent or more of the business. This is an increase of 11 percent over the past five years. Ms Lassus also talked about her firm, how it started and the strategies she and her business partner used for getting new clients. She talked about different instances where they helped individual clients with each of their needs. She also touched on maintaining client accounts at discount brokerage firms or bank trust accounts saying that each institution has advantages and disadvantages. She talked about she and her partner becoming shareholders in National Advisors Trust, a new entity run by a handpicked team of trust management experts, the trust company has been able to combine the best practices of trust departments and brokerage firms.
