DIAHANN LASSUS APPOINTED TO THE INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF NJ ADVISORY BOARD
Diahann W. Lassus, CPA, CFP® practitioner, and President of Lassus Wherley & Associates, P.C. has been appointed to the International Institute of New Jersey Advisory Board. The International Institute of New Jersey provides an array of services to promote the integration of immigrants and refugees into American life and supports public policies designed to ensure their fair and equitable treatment. The institute has several departments, each offering services to help assist immigrants and refugees. One creates opportunities for community service by recruiting bilingual college students and placing them in schools and human service agencies where they assist immigrants and refugees. They tutor the newly arrived, provide interpreting services and work in health clinics and promote American citizenship. Another program provides culturally and linguistically appropriate mental health and community based psychosocial services for refugee survivors of trauma.
