LASSUS AS "BIZ BRAIN" IN THE STAR LEDGER (401K-HARDSHIP WITHDRAWALS)

The question asked was regarding 401K plans allowing a hardship withdrawal. Ms Lassus suggested that some employers may not allow hardship withdrawals due to potentially high administrative costs or as a way of encouraging participants to leave the money in for long-term growth.
