LASSUS TO BE KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT FAIRLEIGH DICKINSON UNIVERSITY


Diahann W. Lassus, CPA, CFP® practitioner, and President of Lassus Wherley & Associates, P.C.  will be the keynote speaker  at the inaugural New Jersey Female Entrepreneur Lecture at Fairleigh Dickinson in Lenfell Hall, The Mansion on FDU’s College at Florham Park Campus in Madison, NJ.  The event is Friday March 26, 2004. The evening will start at 6:00 p.m. with a reception followed by the awards.  The lecture will begin at 7:15 p.m. Ms Lassus will be speaking on “Focusing on the Future:  Growing Your Company in a Competitive Environment.  There will be a question-and-answer period with the audience, following the presentation.   Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Rothman Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies along with the First Energy Foundation and the Daily Record are the sponsors for this lecture.

This past January, Ms Lassus was named one of Worth Magazine’s Top Financial Advisors for an unprecedented six times.  She has also been named on the “Top Women in Business” List and Twenty-Six Intriguing Women of New Jersey Business by the NJBIZ Magazine. 

She was appointed by  President Bill Clinton to the Retirement Savings Summit in Washington, D.C., by New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman in 1996 for the New Sources of Capital Board  and in 2000 to the Assembly Business Task Force by New Jersey Speaker of the Assembly Jack Collins.  She also was a delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business, where she chaired the New Jersey Capital Formation Committee.
