Diahann W. Lassus, MBA, CFP®, CPA/PFS, was the Chair of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors in 2008-2009 and board member from 2007-2009. Among her many achievements while on the board was to develop NAPFA's relationship with the Financial Planning Coalition (FPC), which has led the fight for pro-consumer reform of the financial services industry. Diahann in July, 2009, on behalf of the FPC, testified before the U.S. House Committee on Financial Services to stress the need for high competency and ethical standards for the financial planning profession.
Diahann also sits on numerous boards in New Jersey, including the Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies Advisory Board, the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and the Center for Women's Business Research Board of Directors.
Her efforts have been recognized with numerous awards and designations, including: 2011 Top 25 Leading Women Entrepreneurs & Business Owners in New Jersey by Own It Ventures and New Jersey Monthly; 2011 50 Top Women in Wealth by AdvisorOne, 2012 and 2011 Five Star Wealth Manager℠ by New Jersey Monthly; 150 Top Advisors for Doctors by Medical Economics (1998, 2006, 2010); Top Financial Advisor List by Worth Magazine (named seven times since 1994); Top 50 Women in Wealth Management by Wealth Manager (2008, 2009, 2010); and Women of Influence in Finance by the Women's Fund of New Jersey (2007).
Clare E. Wherley, MBA, CPA, CFP®, is a board member of the Youth ChalleNGe Foundation (Washington, DC), the New Providence Business & Professional Association, and the Summit Business and Professional Women's Club. She was named among the 2011 Top 25 Leading Women Entrepreneurs & Business Owners in New Jersey by Own It Ventures and New Jersey Monthly; one of New Jersey's 2010 Best 50 Women in Business by NJBIZ; a Woman of Achievement by the Business & Professional Women of New Jersey (2009); and one of America's Best Financial Planners by Consumer Research Council of America (2005-2006).
Suzanne C. Low, J.D., CFP®, has been named one of America's Top Financial Planners by the Consumers' Research Council of America. Suzanne's professional activity includes being a member of the Temple Shalom of Naples Board of Trustees; president of the Estate Planning Council of Naples (2009-10); a member of the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce President's Club; a member of the Financial Planning Association's National Government Relations Committee; and president of the Financial Planning Association of Southwest Florida.
Lisa McKnight, MBA, CFP®,volunteered to be one of the Fee-Only financial advisors offering free advice to consumers during the Your Money Bus Tour sponsored by The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) Consumer Education Foundation, TD AMERITRADE Institutional and Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine.
