Earlier this year, we offered you the opportunity to sign up for an electronic version of our Privacy Policy. Over 90% of you accepted. Thank you!  This success told us that many of you are looking for ways to limit the amount of paper mail you receive regarding your accounts and to save trees. We currently have many options available and are working on being able to provide all correspondence from us electronically.  We currently provide the following:

·         Privacy Policy — Delivered each June to an e-mail address you specify.

·         My Virtual Safe — A secure online area accessible from our website www.lassuswherley.com. Used as a storage as well as an exchange channel for electronic documents.

·         Monthly Appraisals — A consolidated appraisal as well as individual appraisals on all your accounts uploaded to your My Virtual Safe on the first business day of the month.

·         Schwab E-Confirms — Confirmation of the trades executed in your accounts held at Charles Schwab, delivered to you via e-mail.  This feature is not currently available at National Advisors Trust but will be in the future.

·         My Accounts – Access your Schwab and National Advisors Trust Company accounts online. Interface and available features depend on the custodian. Accessible from www.lassuswherley.com.

·         Announcements — E-mails announce happenings such as Diahann’s appearances on CNBC.  This service is currently offered on an opt-out basis.

We are working on providing a lot more data in electronic form including the reports discussed below.  Several of you are already receiving some of the reports as part of the early setup and testing.  As we work through the process of making more of our reports and other documents available to you in electronic format, we will keep you informed.  If you would like to receive electronic correspondence, please call us.  We will be working through the technical aspects over the next three to six months.  Here’s a list of reports we are currently working on:

·         Model Reports — A model report on any account that needs rebalancing will be uploaded to your My Virtual Safe. An e-mail notification will be provided to let you know to check. The report will be available for your review for ten business days.

·         Quarterly Reports — Full quarterly report package including the cover letter, the Conversations newsletter and the investment reports will be uploaded to your My Virtual Safe. An e-mail notification will be provided upon upload.

·         Correspondence — Correspondence from us will be either uploaded to your My Virtual Safe or e-mailed to you, depending on the sensitivity of the documents. You need a working e-mail address, and your ISP’s e-mail server needs to support e-mail delivery confirmation.

Additionally, both Charles Schwab and National Advisors Trust Company are planning to provide electronic account statements directly to you in the future. If you would like to be notified when this option becomes available, please send an e-mail to zuzana@lassuswherley.com.

We currently provide additional information on our web site at www.lassuswherley.com, including access to all our past issues of Lassus Wherley Conversations, our quarterly newsletter.  We will be adding additional content and adding features that will make it easier for you to locate information on the site.

·         If you would like to sign up for any of the above-mentioned electronic options or would like to inquire about more details, please contact Zuzana Harvis via e-mail zuzana@lassuswherley.com

Our Presidential Election

By Diahann W. Lassus

Many of us have very strong beliefs and feelings about the current political race for President.  Whether you are a Democrat, Independent, or Republican (note:  I did that alphabetically), there are many serious issues that we are all worried about.  The war in Iraq is certainly front and center.  The current issues with the increasing debt situation, both of individuals and of the U.S., are ones that certainly have my attention.  But I think the thing that has gotten my attention more than anything is how close the election seems to be and how partisan many things are becoming today.

It seems that everything we see in the news has a political twist so that someone is either blaming someone else or taking credit.  I, for one, will breathe a great sigh of relief when this election is over.  But the real question is, “What do you believe?”  Do you think that we need four more years of the current administration?  Do you think we need a new administration?  You don’t need to win a debate with me or anyone else; you just need to decide.

But the most important thing to me today is that I live in an incredible democracy where someone actually asks me who I want to elect to run our country.  I don’t think there is a greater responsibility than voting for the leader of our country.  When I look at what is happening around the world, our democracy is a truly amazing place!

I know it is far from perfect, but it is ours!  So……make your decision about who you want to run this country and do your part to GET OUT AND VOTE!  Whoever wins this election, will win because the people who supported him took the time to register and to vote.

VOTE and make a difference!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stay warm, stay safe and have a happy holiday season!
