Diahann Lassus Honored by NJAWBO
Diahann W. Lassus, CFP®, CPA was honored by the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) at a reception held at the Berkeley Plaza in Berkeley Heights, NJ on October 21, 1999. She received the first Abigail Adams Award, presented to someone who has made a positive impact on the women's business community. As stated by Marcy Metz, the Union County Chapter President of NJAWBO, "Mrs. Adams was the first woman who was close to the center of power in our nation and she used her influence to bring women's issues to the table. She did this at a time when our country was very young. Her influence helped shape the attitudes of our leaders thus making them more receptive to the suffrage movement. Diahann Lassus exemplifies the spirit of Mrs. Adams by working diligently to draw attention to the challenges that women face in business today."
